​The ribs are three-dimensional structures that extend from the thoracic vertebrae at the back of the body to the sternum at the front, so rib fractures are not easy to manually interpret on 2D X-rays. To assist doctors in accurately diagnosing rib fractures in a busy emergency room environment, we propose using AI technology to perform preliminary screening and interpretation, marking the possible fracture locations for the doctor's correct diagnosis. This is expected to reduce the clinical burden and interpretation time for the attending physician.
